DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI AWARD

The Bayfield Education Foundation is proud to announce an annual award celebrating the achievements of Bayfield High School graduates. Bayfield may be a small community, but the far-reaching impacts of BHS graduates go well beyond school district boundaries. Distinguished Alumni Awards will honor successful alumni, highlight inspirational role models for current students and foster connections with the Bayfield community.

Help Select Recipients
Do you know a classmate, or another graduate whose accomplishments make you proud? Would like to share this information and have them recognized as one of Bayfield High School’s outstanding alumni? If so, please consider nominating them for this award. It’s easy to do.

Nominations are due by April 1 of each year. The selection committee will choose up to four recipients by early June and awards will be presented during Bayfield High School’s Homecoming weekend.

Qualifications
The Bayfield Education Foundation Distinguished Alumni Award recognizes graduates of Bayfield High School for outstanding achievements and contributions to society following graduation.

Selection Criteria

  • Candidates must have graduated from Bayfield High School at least ten years prior to nomination.
  • Candidates must have contributed to society in an exemplary manner.
  • Candidates must have achieved outstanding success in at least one of the following areas: the arts, business, community service, humanitarian efforts or their profession.

Presentation
Award recipients will be introduced each fall during the Homecoming festivities and will receive a commemorative plaque. Recipients will have their names engraved on a name plate that will be installed on the Distinguished Alumni Award wall in the Performing Arts Center lobby. A brunch will be held to honor all DA recipients, both current and past.
